Annual Awards

  • Sportsmanship Award +

The Len Everett Sportsmanship Team Award was established in 1984 by the Greater Richmond Aquatic League (GRAL) to honor the memory of a man who was instrumental in the founding and structuring of the League.  Leonard Everett, from Hungary Creek Recreation Association, stood for the highest ideals of fair competition and good sportsmanship.  A plaque is awarded every year to one club in each division whose swimmers, coaches, and parents have best exhibited these qualities.  Congratulations to the 2013 recipients: Twin Hickory, Tuckahoe Village, Tuckahoe Village West, Ashcrek, and Bell Creek.  Click here for a complete list of recipients by year since 1984.

  • Coaching Excellence Award +

The Len Everett Coaching Excellence Award was established in 2006 to recognize Coaches that go above and beyond the normal expectations of a summer coach, and best exemplify GRAL's purpose and ideals.  At the end of each Season, each Club's Coaching Staff casts their vote for a Coaching Staff in their division that exhibited fair play, good sportsmanship and safety during the season.  At Champs, the winning Coaches are recognized and presented with an award for their efforts.  Congratulations to the 2013 recipients: Ashcreek, Atlee, Dominion Club, and Wembly.  Click here to see the winning Coaches since 2006.

  • Scholarship +

In 2012, the Len Everett scholarship was established.  Graduating seniors who have participated in GRAL for no less than five (5) consecutive years, and demonstrate dedication to the sport of swimming and loyalty to his/her GRAL club are encouraged to apply.  The 2014 scholarship application deadline has passed.  Thanks to all that applied.  Recipients will be announced soon.

Weekly Reports

  • GRAL Records
  • GRAL Top 50
  • Top Times
  • Champs Qualifiers

These Records reports are updated each week, after all results from all GRAL meets have been received.  GRAL record-breakers are recognized on the homepage, and may also be recognized at Champs each year.

This report is updated once results have been received from all GRAL meets.  Note that this report converts all times swam in a Meters pool to an equivalent Yards time.  The general rule for converting a Meter time to a Yard time is to multiply the Meter time by 0.90.  The pool configuration (Meters or Yards) for each GRAL facility can be found on this site via the "About GRAL" page by selecting the appropriate GRAL Division.  Additionally, all Meet results include either "Meter" or "Yard" in the Event description (ie Boys 9-10 100 Yard IM, or Boys 9-10 100 MeterIM).  If you have any questions about the data in this report, please feel free to contact your Coach, Parent Representative, or the GRAL Webmaster ( This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. ).

Each week, updated Top Times by Club reports will be posted here as soon as meet results have been received/processed.  Check the date on the report to ensure the report has been updated since the last meet.  Also, check the report to ensure it is in the appropriate measure (Yards ("Y"), or Meters ("S")) for the upcoming meet.  Contact This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. with any problems/questions.

Each week, updated Champs Qualifiers will be posted here as soon as meet results have been received/processed.  Check the date on the report to ensure the report has been updated since the last meet.  These reports are based on official GRAL records.  If your data does not match these reports, please contact the GRAL Computer Coordinator as soon as possible.
