About GRAL

The Greater Richmond Aquatic League (GRAL) is an organization of swimmers, coaches, and parents whose aim is to promote and participate in the sport of summer swimming.  GRAL provides an opportunity for young people to compete against others of similar ability in an atmosphere of fair play, good sportsmanship, and safety.
GRAL teams are split into divisions based on location, size, and overall competitiveness.  The GRAL Summer Swim season includes six scheduled meets against clubs in the same division.  Swimmers with a qualifying time are invited to the season championship (CHAMPS) meet which concludes the GRAL season.  The CHAMPS meet is held at George Mason University.
